Potatoes turn brown when cooking due to a chemical reaction called enzymatic browning. When the cells of the potato are damaged during cooking, an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase is released and reacts with oxygen in the air. This reaction causes the potato to turn brown. This process can be slowed down by adding an acid, such as lemon juice, to the potatoes before cooking, or by cooking them quickly at high temperatures. **

Peeled potatoes turn black sometime after cooking due to a chemical reaction that occurs when the potatoes are exposed to air. This reaction, known as oxidation, causes the potatoes to darken as enzymes in the potato react with oxygen in the air. This process is accelerated when the potatoes are peeled, as it exposes more surface area to the air. To prevent this discoloration, it is recommended to cook or store peeled potatoes in water or acidic solutions to limit their exposure to oxygen. **

The green color in potatoes after cooking is due to the presence of chlorophyll, which is a pigment found in plants. When potatoes are exposed to light, especially sunlight, they produce chlorophyll as a natural defense mechanism. This chlorophyll can turn the potato slightly green, especially if the potato was not stored properly or if it was exposed to light before cooking. While the green color is not harmful, it is a sign that the potato may have higher levels of solanine, a toxic compound that can develop in potatoes when they are exposed to light or stored improperly. **

Peeled potatoes turn black after cooking due to a chemical reaction that occurs when the potatoes are exposed to air. This reaction, known as oxidation, causes the potatoes to produce a pigment called melanin, which is responsible for the discoloration. The presence of enzymes in the potatoes also contributes to this process. To prevent this from happening, it is recommended to cook the potatoes immediately after peeling or to store them in water to minimize their exposure to air. **

To turn regular cooking rice into rice pudding, you can start by cooking the rice in milk instead of water. Once the rice is fully cooked, you can add sugar, vanilla extract, and any other desired flavorings such as cinnamon or nutmeg. Let the mixture simmer until it thickens to the desired consistency. You can also add raisins or other dried fruits for extra flavor and texture. Once the rice pudding is ready, let it cool and then serve it either warm or chilled. **

There could be several reasons why a self-built PC may not turn on. Some common issues include incorrect connections of power cables, faulty power supply unit, incompatible components, or a defective motherboard. It is important to double-check all connections, ensure all components are compatible with each other, and troubleshoot each component individually to identify the root cause of the problem. If the issue persists, seeking help from a professional or contacting the component manufacturer for support may be necessary. **

To turn off self-pity attacks, it's important to practice self-awareness and recognize when these feelings arise. Once you identify the self-pity, try to shift your focus to gratitude and positive thinking. Engaging in activities that bring you joy and fulfillment can also help to shift your mindset away from self-pity.
